Produced by the talented winemaker Sílvia Puig through bodega En Números Vermells, her personal project, the wine En Números Vermells Clàssic comes from DOQ Priorat.
This small-batch Spanish red wine is mainly made from Hairy Grenache, some of which comes from very old vines. This red wine from Priorat also has some old-vines Carignan and young Syrah in the blend, sourced from 15-year-old vines. The vineyards are located in Torroja del Priorat, Bellmunt del Priorat and Porrera.
Hand-harvested and selected meticulously, the grapes were fermented in new and 2nd year French oak barrels and clay amphorae, after which they were macerated for 25 to 32 days.
Then the red wine En Números Vermells Clàssic 2022 was aged for about 12 months in the barrels. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
1,300 to 1,800 bottles produced, contingent on the vintage.

| Nose | Though it has an unmistakable Priorat character, this blend of Hairy Grenache, Carignan and Syrah is more about nuance than power. Forest berries and sour cherries wrapped in liquorice, tar and smoke, with hints of black pepper and a vibrant mineral undercurrent. |
| Palate | Still in the developing stage, this wine of bodega En Números Vermells has a phenomenal acidity, excellent definition and some dusty tannins. Lively mid palate, with a brooding minerality, a gentle layer of spices, succulent black fruit and metallic tinge coming from the llicorella soils. Impressively long finish. |
