This remarkable sweet Spanish red wine is a little jewel coming from the Catalan region of Montsant.
A varietal Grenache, Ètim Verema Tardana Negra is made from naturally overripen, late-harvested, sweet red grapes.
The Grenache vineyards are over 70 years of age. Vines yield less than 1 kilogram per plant.
After the harvest, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once fermentation naturally stopped because of the high amount of natural sugar, winemakers added wine alcohol to achieve the desired alcohol content.
Finally, Ètim Verema Tardana Negra 2018 from the Cooperativa Agrícola Falset-Marçà, was transferred into old French oak barrels, where it was aged for 4 to 6 months.
This naturally sweet red wine from Montsant should have a long life in the bottle.

| Nose | Complex and intense, this varietal Grenache exhibits some deep aromas of ripe black fruit, raisins, dried figs, strawberry jam, cocoa, underbush, coffee, smoke and some mineral and balsamic nuances. |
| Palate | Fresh and unctuous, with a remarkable density and a surprisingly smooth passage through the palate. This sweet red wine suggests notes of raisins, dry fruit, red berries, chocolate, menthol, tomato jam and Mediterranean herbs. Very good acidity and great freshness, which prevents this wine from Cooperativa Agrícola Falset-Marçà from being oversweet. Mild tannins and extremely long finish. |
