White Wine Jaume de Puntiró Daurat 2018
Availability: In stock
Made in the enchanting island of Mallorca, and belonging to the DO Binissalem-Mallorca, Jaume de Puntiró Daurat is one of the very few white wines from Majorca solely made from Premsal Blanc, a grape variety native to the island.
Produced by the Jaume de Puntiró winery, this Spanish white wine is made from vines located in Santa Maria del Camí, a village 10 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the island.
The 20-year-old, organically grown vines were harvested by hand, slightly pressed and fermented in French oak barrels from Allier.
Then, Jaume de Puntiró Daurat 2018 was aged for 6 months in those same barrels before bottling.
The white wine Jaume de Puntiró Daurat has a clean, bright, light golden colour with grey tinges and some greenish glints.
This varietal Premsal Blanc is intense and seductive, suggesting notes of pineapple and mango, along with hints of citrus, fresh herbs, almonds, some floral remembrances and some intimations of clove and laurel.
Fresh and savoury, this organic white wine from bodega Jaume de Puntiró fills the palate with fresh notes of ripe citrus, toast, bitter herbs, a dash of treacle and some earthy undertones. Long, fruity finish.
