Made from a blend which is rather uncommon in Penedès, the wine Jean Leon 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot is produced by the Jean Leon winery.
Specifically, this Spanish red wine combines Merlot, coming from a 8-hectare vineyard planted in 1997, with a higher proportion of Petit Verdot, coming from a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2006.
The grapes were carefully harvested and separately vinified. First, they were fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then, this organic red wine was macerated for two weeks with the grape skins.
After bottling, the red wine Jean Leon 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot 2023 was kept for some months in the cellar.

Very attractive wine
Very interesting blend which performs fabulously well. The oak feels just right, and the wine is just delicious.
