Made by superstar winemaker Raúl Pérez, the wine Los Arrotos del Pendón Albarín is a varietal Albarín Blanco, a rare variety native to northern Spain, sourced from over 50-year-old vines planted in clayey-rocky soils in the village of Villamañán, Castilla y León, at an altitude over 800 metres above sea level.

This grapes were picked by hand and fermented with native yeasts in 500-litre oak barrels. After that, the vinification process of the white wine Los Arrotos del Pendón Albarín 2021 was given an unexpected twist. Indeed, this white wine was aged under a veil of flor - like a Sherry or a Vin Jaune from Jura - for a period of 4 to 5 months.

A truly singular Spanish white wine due to the combination of a rare variety and a unusual ageing process, this white wine from Tierra de León bears witness to the talent of the great Raúl Pérez.
