Product Description
Details

Made from old Mencía vines grown in clayey soils and a dollop of local white varieties, Losada Magnum is produced in El Bierzo, one of Spain's most interesting wine regions.

After a manual harvest, the grapes were brought to the facilities of Bodega Losada Vinos de Finca, where they were selected, destemmed, gently crushed, and cold-macerated.

The alcoholic fermentation of this Spanish red wine was carried out in stainless steel tanks. After that, Losada Magnum 2018 was aged for 12 months in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels.

We suggest that you aerate this Crianza red wine some time before drinking.

The production of this red wine from El Bierzo is very limited.

Appearance

The wine Losada Magnum is medium ruby with a reddish rim.

Nose

This red wine made from Mencía and other white varieties smells of strawberries and raspberries, with notes of flowers, spices, leather and toast, and some hints of blood, iron and earth.

Palate

This wine from Bodega Losada Vinos de Finca is fresh and lively, with mild tannins, a crisp acidity and a deeply mineral and metallic core. Long finish with some berryish and spicy remembrances, and a hint of bitter herbs.

Our personal opinion

Because of its size, Losada Mágnum 2018 is an ideal wine for family gatherings and meetings with friends. Fresh and easy-to-drink.
