The main ambition of Pablo Calatayud, head winemaker of Celler del Roure, is to make wines that faithfully express the Mediterranean terroir of an area called "Terres dels Alforins", in the heart of DO Valencia.
The 2023 vintage of the wine Maduresa is made from a most original and unusual blend of local varieties; namely, 75% Monastrell, 20% Carignan and 5% of the lesser known local variety Mandó. This combination results in a terroir-bound, compelling Spanish red wine.
Manually harvested, the grapes were partially destemmed, cold-soaked and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then the red wine Maduresa 2023 went through malolactic fermentation in 5,000-litre wooden vats, after which this Crianza red wine was transferred into new and used French oak barrels and aged for 11 months.
Decant this organic red wine a minimum of 40 minutes before drinking.

| Palate | The palate shows that this wine of Celler del Roure winery is engaging and information-rich, with a solid structure and a superb acidity. This organic red wine is in the process of assembling all its parts. Nicely textured and deep, with a long finish with remembrances of flowers, balsam and red berries. |
