Located near the enchanting coastal village of Cadaqués, DO Empordà, bodega Martín Faixó is the producer of the wine Martín Faixó Perafita.
A blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the vineyards are located in Cap de Creus, a strip of land situated on the eastermost side of the Iberian Peninsula. Composed of slate soils, the area is strongly influence by the northern Tramuntana wind and the Mediterranean Sea.
Each variety was hand-picked and separately vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, this Crianza red wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels.
The wine was blended and bottled. It is worth pointing out that the red wine Martín Faixó Perafita 2017 was cellared for 5+ years (!) before being released onto the market.
Do gently aerate this red wine from Empordà before serving.
