The wine Merum Priorati Destí Sols Garnatxa is an outstanding example of the Priorat Grenache, which undoubtedly ranks among the world’s absolute best.
Made by the Merum Priorati winery, a brand of Pere Ventura Family Wine States, this varietal Grenache is sourced from estate vineyards 25 years old on average, planted on steep slate slopes farmed following the techniques of the so-called heroic viticulture.
Hand-picked in little boxes and fully destemmed, the grapes were macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, this red wine from Priorat was transferred into 225 and 500-litre French oak barrels, new and used, where this vegan wine was aged for a period of 18 months.
Bottled unfined and unfiltered, the red wine Merum Priorati Destí Sols Garnatxa 2022 was cellared for some time before hitting the market.
