The wine Mirlo Blanca is made by Alegre Wines & Spirits, the joint project of Toni Omedes and winemaker Pilar García, now working in the DO Rueda.
This varietal Spanish white wine is made from 50 to 70-year-old Verdejo vineyards located in La Seca, at 700 metres of altitude, in clay soils with a top layer of cobblestones.
The vinifcation of this white wine from Rueda took place in French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks (50/50). After completing fermentation, the white wine Mirlo Blanco 2024 was aged for 5 months on lees. Then it was blended and kept in the cellar for a short period of time beofre hitting the market.
Pair this Verdejo from Rueda with rice dishes, shrimp and soft cheese.
