Details
The O Luar do Sil winery, the branch of famed grupo Pago de los Capellanes in Galicia, presents its top-range bottling, the wine O Luar do Sil Vides de Córgomo, an outstanding expression of the DO Valdeorras terroir.
This varietal Spanish white wine is sourced from old Godello vineyards with slate soils planted on the northern bank of the Sil river, at 350 metres of altitude, near the village of Córgomo, situated in the province of Ourense.
The hand-picked grapes were harvested in late September and meticulously sorted, destemmed, gently crushed and cold-macerated. This Crianza white wine was fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, concrete eggs, French oak vats and 500-litre acacia oak barrels.
After completing the process, the white wine O Luar do Sil Vides de Córgomo 2022 was aged in the said containers for 8 months. Bottled in June 2023, it was stored for 18 months minimum before hitting the market.
6,684 bottles produced.
We suggest aerating this white wine from Valdeorras some time before serving.
