Product Description

This is the new vintage of Pardas Xarel·lo Pur, a varietal Xarel·lo produced by Celler Pardas.

A splendid expression of Penedès' most representative and age-worthy native white variety, this Spanish white wine is sorted from four organically farmed low-yielding vineyards.

Harvested by hand and selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes were refrigerated, destemmed and gently pressed before being cold-macerated for 12 hours with the skins. Then, the free-run juice was fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels and a 1,600-litre concrete egg.

After that, Pardas Xarel·lo Pur 2020 was subsequently aged for 12 months.

Finally, this Crianza white wine was stabilized and clarified before being bottled.

The white wine Pardas Xarel·lo Pur is pale yellow with some straw-coloured glints.


As usual, the charm of this varietal Xarel·lo lies in its somewhat restrained and subtle character, conveniently enlivened by the nicely integrated wood. Aromas of white and yellow fruit, alongside notes of flowers and aromatic herbs over a background of toast, spices and honey, all of them underscored by a mineral note.


Substantial and solid, with a tight structure and a significant complexity, the palate of this white wine of Celler Pardas is reminiscent of citrus and aromatic herbs, with a mineral note which becomes ever more prominent, framed by some delicate tropical notes. First-class acidity, a distinctive feature of the Xarel·lo variety, and long finish with an aftertaste of spices, mineral and garrigue.

Our personal opinion

Aged-worthy and terroir-oriented, Pardas Xarel·lo Pur 2020 is one of the best Xarel·lo wines produced in Penedès.

Pur Xarello
The guys at Pardas are masters of Xarello. This super crisp, structured wine is all about age-worthiness and delayed gratification. It truly is a far cry from all that Med o Cal Chard shallowness which I, for one, deeply abhor.
