Peregrino Rojo
Made by the El Sentir del Peregrino distillery, the vermouth Peregrino Rojo comes from Galicia. The name, Peregrino (“Pilgrim”) is a reference to The Way of Saint James ("Camino de Santiago").
This red vermouth is produced from a base wine of Godello, which is not a common choice for producing Spanish vermouth, which matured for 6 months in used oak barrels and macerated with a selection of 31 botanicals, with 5 distillations.
Mahoganny coloured, the vermouth Peregrino Rojo has a well-balanced and original nose, carrying lively orchard fruit, a bitter note of wormwood and some spicy underpinnings. The palate of this Galician red vermouth is pleasant and mild, with a bittersweet note, hints of flowers and dry fruit and a long spicy finish.
