Priorat de Vall Llach 2022
The Celler Vall Llach winery presents the new vintage of the red wine Priorat de Vall Llach, formerly known as Idus de Vall Llach.
Totally indigenous, this Spanish red wine is made from a blend of very old vineyards of 90% Carignan and 10% Grenache.
The grapes come from little plots - called "Trossos" - owned by local peasants who farm the vineyards in the most traditional manner and with the utmost respect for the Priorat environment. The plots are located on the outskirts of Porrera.
Each plot was harvested by hand. Once in the premises, the grapes were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks and 300 and 500-litre oak barrels.
The wine Priorat de Vall Llach 2022 went through malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, after which this red wine from Priorat was aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels. During the process, the wine was racked once. It was bottled in November 2023.

On the background, a layer of rich mineral nuances and Mediterranean garrigue. |
| Palate | This red wine from Vall Llach is ripe, palate-coating and textured. Clove, balsam and menthol, with intense remembrances of ripe wild berries, a superb acidity and a fresh, spacious core. Mild tannins and long, intensely mineral finish. Great ageing potential. |
