Made mostly from Tempranillo, with a dollop of Albillo and Grenache, the wine Protos Clarete is produced from estate-owned vineyards scattered across the DO Cigales, a region famous for its rosés..
The harvest, which took place earlier than usual, was carried out at dusk. Once in the cellar, the grape bunches were destemmed, and then this Spanish rosé wine was macerated for 15 hours with the skins.
After that, this young rosé wine of Bodegas Protos was drawn-off and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Appropriately, the rosé wine Protos Clarete 2025 was not aged in oak to preserve its berryish freshness.
This rosé wine from Cigales is great for al fresco dining.
