The white wine Som, Riure is a collaboration between Óscar Soneira of bodega Els Mecanismes and bodega La Xarmada from Penedès, which provided technical support.
A varietal Macabeo, this Spanish white wine was sourced from a vineyard with clay-limestone soils located in Vilafranca del Penedès, DO Penedès.
The grapes were refrigerated for 24 hours before being whole-cluster pressed to obtain the free-run must. This white wine from Penedès was cold-macerated before fermentation. After that, the white wine Som, riure 2024 was kept for 5 months on lees with no stirrings in stainless steel tanks.
The white wine Som, riure 2024 was bottled unfined and unfiltered in early February 2025.
