The wine Som, Bombolles is the latest release from bodega Els Mecanismes, the personal project of Óscar Soneira.
This Spanish sparkling wine is solely made from Macabeo grapes (playfully spelled Marrameu on the label), sourced from a single vineyard with limestone soils planted in 1968 near Vilafranca del Penedès.
The handpicked grapes were refrigerated before starting alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. As per méthode ancestrale, the sparkling wine Som, Bombolles 2025 completed the process in the bottle.
The production of this Pét-Nat from Penedès is very limited. Only 1,200 bottles.

Appearance
The ancestral method sparkling wine Som, Bombolles is pale straw with some greenish reflections.
Nose
Aromas of white pear, characteristic of the Macabeo variety, with a dash of Med herbs, citrus and a chalky fleck.
Palate
Fresh and crisp, with a savoury saltiness and a lively mid palate. This Pét-Nat of bodega Els Mecanismes ends with a note of fennel and chamomile.
