This French champagne, Taittinger Nocturne, is a member of the “sec” category, which is an rare category for French champagnes. This sparkling wine has been crafted from a high percentage of Chardonnay grapes, a signature of the Taittinger winery, along with a coupage of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. These grapes come from over 35 different Crus of various different crops, all of which providing perfectly ripened grapes. The second fermentation process and the bottle ageing of this champagne, Taittinger Nocturne, lasted for a minimum of four years. Subsequently, the champagne received it degüelle process with 18 grams of sugar added per liter. This process has provided us with a full-bodied, smooth champagne. This is an elegant and flavorful champagne that is presented in a modern bottle that is full of color which shatters the classical French champagne bottle and labeling.
|Appearance||This French sparkling wine has a pale yellow colored body that casts bright golden reflections. The effervescence is fine and forms a rosy crown.|
|Nose||The aromatics are subtle, fresh, and dominated by white floral aromatics along with stone fruits. The background presents fine yeast aromatics and lite toasted notes.|
|Palate||A smooth and fresh attack onto the palate with a pleasant passage that is big and ripe. There is a long and smooth aftertaste. The retronasal olfaction of this wine pushes raisin and peach notes from the palate back into the nose.|
