Red Wine Terroir al Límit Arbossar 2022
Availability: In stock
A varietal Carignan, the red wine Arbossar is crafted by bodega Terroir al Límit.
Founded and directed by German-born winemaker Dominik Huber, the winery is one of Priorat's most sophisticated and boundary-pushing projects.
This single vineyard Spanish red wine originates in a 1,6-hectare plot planted with 90-year-old grapevines, farmed following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The site is located at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, near the village of Torroja del Priorat. Soils are composed of black slate and granite.
Harvested by hand, the non-destemmed grapes were gently macerated and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete diposits.
After that, the wine Terroir al Límit Arbossar 2022 was aged for 8 months in the diposits and bottled in May 2023 unfined and unfiltered.
It is essential to decant this red wine from Priorat a minimum of 1 hour before you drink it.
4,488 bottles produced.
| Appearance | The red wine Terroir al Límit Arbossar is medium purple with some bluish tinges. |
|---|---|
| Nose | Though it is still a bit raw, this remarkable old-vines Carignan exudes purity and transparency. Wild cherries and raspberries, with intimations of laurel, balsam, thyme, tobacco leaves and menthol. On the background, deep, pulsating, ever-present mineral notions. |
| Palate | Linear and focused, this wine from Terroir al Límit conveys an image of Priorat which is quite different from the usual one. Tension instead of mass, freshness instead of heat, agility instead of weight. Everything is in the right place, and with plenty of room for growth. Great acidity, chiseled tannins and long, memorable finish. |
| Our personal opinion | No wonder that the wine Terroir al Límit Arbossar 2022 always gets stupendous Parker scores. The current vintage is a particularly expressive and appealing one. |
