Product Description
Details

The main component of this Spanish red wine produced by the Venta d'Aubert winery is Syrah, complemented with 20% Grenache and a droplet of Monastrell. The grapes come from certified organic vineyards.

Belonging to the designation VT Bajo Aragón, the grapevines are grown in clay-limestone soils under a Mediterranean and Semi-Continental climate. A few years ago, following the guidelines of biodynamic agriculture, the winery began a process of soil regeneration combining the use of animal manure and vegetal compost.

The grapes were picked by hand and traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Then Venta d’Aubert Tinto 2015 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 30 months. It was gently bottled.

We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine at least 1 hour before you drink it.

Appearance

The wine Venta d’Aubert Tinto has an intense, bright ruby colour.

Nose

This blend of Syrah, Grenache and Monastrell is very pleasant. Wild berries, a spicy and smoky note, and some subtle remembrances of flowers and herbs. Quite complex, this organic crianza red wine has a mineral and earthy background.

Palate

Smooth-bodied and gently warm, this wine of Venta d'Aubert has a lively note of Mediterranean herbs and underbrush, and a toasted tip. Long, fruity finish with a spicy remembrance.

Our personal opinion

Very pleasant, Venta d’Aubert Tinto 2015 will pair excellently with cold cuts and stew recipes.

Sort of old-style red, with generous oak. Nonetheless, wood does not stand out, and fruit leads the wine. 4/5
