Details
The wine Cuevas de Arom As Ladieras is a compelling expression of the Grenache from Aragón made by bodega Cuevas de Arom, the joint project of Fernando Mora MW, head of Bodegas Frontonio, and the wine coop from Calatayud Bodegas San Alejandro.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from old-vines Grenache planted in quartzite and slate soils at 800+ metres above sea level.
After being harvested by hand, the grapes went through a 50% full-cluster vinification in concrete vats with manual pump-overs. After completing the process, this red wine from Calatayud was aged for 10 months in concrete eggs and a 30 hl Austrian oak vat.
Bottled in September 2024, the red wine Cuevas de Arom As Ladieras 2022 from DO Calatayud was stored for 12 months before hitting the shelves.
