Red Wine De Muller lo Cabaló 2016

Probably the only reason why the wine De Muller lo Cabaló is not better known is because, despite being a first-class Priorat red wine, it is not produced by a "fancy" winery.
Harvested in late September, the grapes were macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After undergoing a spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred into new American and French oak barrels, where it was aged for 14 months.
Finally, De Muller lo Cabaló 2016 was aged for 12 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
It is important to decant this age-worthy red wine from Priorat 1 hour before drinking at the very least.
The red wine De Muller Lo Cabaló is deep ruby with a garnet rim.
This blend of Grenache, Merlot, Syrah and Carignan has a really deep nose, enticing and complex. Aromas of ripe red fruit, aromatic herbs, underbush, coffee, cocoa and menthol, punctuated by deep mineral undertones and some earthy and balsamic remembrances. Really characteristic.
Structured and characteristic, this red wine from bodega De Muller carries flavours of blackcurrants, raspberries, remembrances of pine needles, rosemary, spices and black stones. Steely acidity and a silky texture, with ripe tannins and a long, wonderfully mineral finish.

Authenticity in a bottle, De Muller lo Cabaló 2016 encapsulates the mineral soul of Priorat. Considerable ageing potential.
