Details
The wine Herència Altés La Borrassona is sourced from vineyards located near Batea, one of DO Terra Alta's main wine villages, in the southern Catalan province of Tarragona.
Made by bodega Herència Altés, this Spanish red wine is solely made from Grenache grapes, which were harvested by hand and then refrigerated and meticulously sorted upon arriving at the winemaking facility.
The grapes were fermented with wild yeasts in concrete diposits, performing gentle manual punch-downs during the process. After that, this Crianza red wine was transferred into one 5,000-litre and one 2,500-litre Austrian oak vat, where this vegan wine completed the malo and was aged for 12 months.
Finally, the red wine Herència Altés La Borrassona 2022 was gently stabilized and bottled unfined.
This organic red wine was then stored for a further 12 months before hitting the market.
