Whisky Macallan 18 Double Cask

The legendary Macallan distillery proudly presents the whisky Macallan 18 Double Cask, one of the bottlings of the Double Cask series, which combine the qualities of two cask types with the elegance and depth of Sherry.

This Scotch Whisky went through a meticulous process of fermentation and distillation in the curiously small Macallan stills. After that, this Single Malt Whisky matured for 18 years in American and European Oloroso Sherry-seasoned oak casks.

This Speyside Whisky is deep amber with some golden reflections. The aromatic profile of this Single Malt matured in Sherry casks is refined, complex and ever-evolving, showing aromas of dried apricots and raisins over a warm background of turmeric, clove and nutmeg, with a citrusy fleck and a hint of caramel and vanilla. Round and deep, the palate of the whisky Macallan 18 Double Cask has a very long wooden-spicy aftertaste which turns into candied citrus fruit.
