This is the 2021 bottling of the Ex Ex Collection - meaning Exceptional Experiences - from the Castillo de Perelada winery, comprised of small-batch wines sourced from unique vineyards in the DO Empordà.
The single vineyard wine Perelada Ex Ex 15 is a blend of Grenache and Syrah made from grapes coming from Finca Garbet, a majestic natural amphiteatre overlooking the ruggedly beautiful Cap de Creus, the easternmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula .
After a manual harvest, the grapes were macerated with the skins for several weeks with pump-overs performed twice a day. After that, this red wine from L'Empordà was transferred into new French oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
Finally, the wine Perelada Ex Ex 15 2021 was bottled and cellared for some years before hitting the market.
It is important to decant this Spanish red wine at least 1 hour before drinking.

| Palate | This wine from Castillo de Perelada is tasty, characterful and lively. Crunchy red berries with a deep mineral core and some luxurious notes of Eastern spices, flowers and balsam. The mid palate is focused and well-defined, and the finish is very long and distinctively earthy. |
