Product Description

A single parcel wine, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco is made from vines grown in sandy-clayey soils in the heart of L'Empordà. The area is constantly lashed by a relentless northern wind called Tramuntana, which keeps the vines healthy and helps the grapes to achieve a high concentration of flavours.

The 2021 vintage of this Spanish white wine from Castillo de Perelada is made solely from Chardonnay.

The grapes were hand-picked and, most interestingly, fermented in new acacia barrels at a temperature of 15ºC.

Once the process was completed, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco 2021 was aged for 6 months in the barrels with periodic stirrings.

This varietal white wine from L'Empordà is characterful and versatile.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco is deep straw with some greenish reflections.

This varietal Chardonnay is compelling. Ripe white fruit, bone fruit, citrus, a dim herbal background, notes of fine lees and a spicy tip.

Nicely textured and enveloping, this white wine from Castillo de Perelada has a crisp acidity and an excellent balance. Withered vegetables, aromatic herbs, subtle bitter nuances, bone fruit and a long, balsamic finish.

Our personal opinion

Rather elegant, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco 2021 will pair excellently with white meat and creamy cheeses.

I'd recommend it
Surprisingly good Med-style Chard, with good ripe fruit, spices and loads of scrubland.
