Produced by Celler Masroig, the wine Pinyeres Negre is another impressive value from DO Montsant.
This terroir-oriented Spanish red wine is made from a blend of old-vines Grenache and Carignan.
Carefully harvested and selected, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, this vegan red wine from Montsant underwent malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, where it was aged for 12 months.
Prior to its release, the red wine Pinyeres Negre 2021 was aged for a further months in the bottle.

I drink this quite often. It is excellent for everyday consumption. The fruit is excellent and the winemakers seem to know their craft.
