The Rendé Masdéu winery, a household name in DO Conca de Barberà, is the producer of Rendé Masdéu Peu del Bosc, an interesting and nicely priced varietal Spanish red wine.
Made solely from Cabernet Sauvignon, the grapes are sourced from vineyards 30 years old on average, composed of slate and clay-limestone soils located near the Muntanyes de Prades Protected Natural Area.
The grapes were hand-picked, selected and destemmed, after which this organic red wine was macerated and fermented in French oak vats.
After that, the red wine Rendé Masdéu Peu del Bosc 2021 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Before its commercial release, this Crianza red wine was kept for some months in the cellar.
