Made by the prestigious Celler Masroig winery in the heart of DO Montsant, southern Catalonia, the Vermut del Masroig is a Spanish vermouth made from an ancient local recipe.
The base wine of this red vermouth is made from White Grenache and Carignan, which was aged in oak barrels and infused with a secret formula of locally sourced botanicals and spices.
Amber-coloured with some bright reflections, this vermouth from Montsant carries aromas of dry fruit, orange candies, clove and cinnamon, with a herbal and citrusy twist. The palate of Vermouth del Masroig is well-rounded, clean and expressive, nicely balancing sweetness and freshness and ending with a mildly bitter and spicy note.
