One of the top Spanish sparkling wines produced by Caves Vilarnau, the 2013 vintage of Vilarnau Gran Reserva Brut Nature Vintage is made from an interesting blend of grapes.
Specifically, this Cava from Penedès features two traditional varieties, Macabeo and Parellada, complemented by the international ones Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Vinified following the traditional Champenoise method, after a prolonged cold-maceration the four wine musts were separately fermented. After that, Vilarnau Gran Reserva Brut Nature Vintage 2013 was bottled and aged for a minimum of 36 months.

Nose | Fresh, intense notes of white fruit, Mediterranean garrigue and toast, combined with remembrances of yeasts, English custard, butter and smoke. This Cava with Chardonnay & Pinot Noir has a background of dry fruit and toast. |
Palate | Fresh and dry, the Cava Vilarnau by González Byass is dry and elegant, with some nicely integrated bubbles and a well-balanced acidity. Vilarnau Barcelona has a complex finish, with delicate remembrances of white fruit, white flowers and aromatic herbs. |
