We are happy to present the 2014 vintage of the wine Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva, one of the most sought-after wines of legendary R. López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia winery.
Typically, this Spanish white wine is made from a blend of Viura and Malvasia (10%) grapes coming from vineyards 65 years of age on average, located in the heart of La Rioja.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were destemmed and subsequently fermented and macerated in huge wooden vats. After that, this Reserva white wine was aged for 72 months, that is, 6 years, with 2 annual rackings, in used American oak barrels. Then the wine was clarified with egg whites and bottled unfiltered in December 2022.
Finally, the wine Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva 2014 was further aged for a long period of time in the cellar before its commercial release.
We suggest that you aerate this white wine from La Rioja at least 30 minutes before you drink it.

Toast, spices, citrus, bitter herbs, mineral, honey, ginger, and some mineral remembrances. Round and gentle, with an exceptional acidity and a long, rich finish. |
