Viña Cubillo Crianza 2018
Despite of its maturing for 6 years in oak, the wine Viña Cubillo is actually the entry-level Spanish red wine of the legendary winery R. López Heredia – Viña Tondonia from DOCa Rioja.
A classic Rioja blend, it is made basically from Tempranillo and Grenache, with a dollop of Mazuela (Carignan) and Graciano.
Harvested was carried out gradually, according to the ripeness level of each plot. Once in the cellar, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine Viña Cubillo Crianza 2018 was aged for 6 years in wooden vats and American oak barrels, with two yearly rackings.
Clarified with egg whites before being bottled in March 2024, this Crianza red wine was cellared for a couple of years before hitting the market.
it is advisable to aerate this red wine from La Rioja 30 minutes before drinking.

| Palate | Fresh and light, this red wine from López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia has a seamless texture and an excellent balance. The toasted notes are more prominent on the palate, enlivened by hints of wild berries, some vegetal remembrances and a classy touch of tobacco. Savoury tannins, excellent acidity and long finish. |
