The answer is: very few. Well, López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia from Rioja is one of them.
This world-class Spanish red wine is crafted mostly from Tempranillo, with a lesser amount of Grenache, Graciano and Mazuela, all coming from estate vineyards.
The vineyards are cultivated with minimal intervention techniques and wise-old traditional methods by the winery.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were carefully vinified and aged for 10 years in barrels, with two manual rackings performed per year. The wine Viña Tondonia Gran Reserva 2004 was then clarified with egg whites and aged for 5+ more years in its bottle before its commercial release onto the market.
We suggest that you gently decant this Gran Reserva red wine at least 2 hours before drinking.
