The white vermouth Antich Original Blanc is made following an original recipe from 1850 that has been slightly adapted to modern taste. Produced by Casa Antich, a brand of Grupo Vallformosa, this Spanish white vermouth proudly proclames itself as “the vermut of Barcelona.”

The base wine of this white vermouth is a Macabeo wine sourced from vineyards located in DO Penedès. First, the wine went through an oxidative ageing process in barrels.

After that, the base was infused with a selection of organic botanicals, such as vanilla, gentian, thyme, wormwood and bitter orange. It was not added any molasses, hence its appealing white colour.

Bright and eye-catching, the vermouth Antich Original Blanc suggests aromas of ripe white fruit, clove, elderflower and candied orange rind. The palate of this organic white vermouth is complex and nicely balanced, with a remembrance of Cointreau and a long ending with notes of honey, apple and cinnamon.
