The world-class winekamer Raúl Pérez and the prestigious Galician oenologist Rodrigo Méndez are the producers of Castro Candaz Mencía, a varietal Spanish red wine from DO Ribeira Sacra.
The Mencía grapes were picked by hand, meticulously selected and macerated whole-bunch for 2 months. Then they were fermented and, after the process was completed, the red wine Castro Candaz Mencía 2022 was aged for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels.
This varietal red wine from Ribeira Sacra is a transparent expression of the Mencía variety.
