The 2021 vintage of the sparkling wine Juvé y Camps Reserva de la Familia Rosé by the Juvé y Camps winery has undergone substantial changes.
Like its white counterpart, the iconic Juvé y Camps Reserva de la Familia, this Spanish sparkling wine is mostly made from Xarel·lo (65%) - the variety that best expresses the house style - with a 30% Pinot Noi, both sourced from vineyards with limestone soils located in Finca Espiells. A 5% Grenache sourced from vineyards with clay-limestone soils located in Mediona adds the finishing touch to this Gran Reserva rosé Cava. The certified organic vineyards are tended following the guidelines of regenerative viticulture.
Traditionally vinified, the free-run must of the three varieties was co-fermented in stainless steel tanks and left in contact with the lees for a couple of months. After that, the Cava Juvé y Camps Reserva de la Familia Rosé 2021 completed secondary fermentation in the bottle and was aged for 30 months minimum.
This organic Brut Nature Rosé Cava was added no dosage after being disgorged.
This vintage Gran Reserva Rosé Cava from Penedès will make an excellently pairing with oysters, smoked foods, oriental cuisine and desert cakes like a Sachertorte.
