Produced by Celler Frisach in the southern Catalan region of Terra Alta, the wine L'Abrunet de Frisach Blanc is a varietal White Grenache, a grape known in the region as Vernatxa Blanca.
Interestingly, this young Spanish white wine was made from twice-harvested grapes.
The grapes were first picked when they had reached an alcohol level of 11.5%. They were harvested again when the alcohol percentage was of 14%. Thus, the first batch of grapes brought acidity and freshness to the wine, while the second batch provided body and volume.
Both grape batches were traditionall vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine L'Abrunet de Frisach Blanc 2024 was not filtered or stabilized before bottling.
This young organic white wine from Terra Alta is as authentic as it gets.
