Produced under the supervision of rabbi Dovid MM of Chabad Barcelona, the red wine Peraj Petita Negre is one of the bottlings of the well-known collection of Kosher wines of bodega Celler de Capçanes from DO Montsant. This is a Lo Mevushal and kosher-for-Passover wine.
A blend of 30% Grenache, 25% Merlot, 25% Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) and 20% Syrah, this Spanish red wine is sourced from low-yielding vineyards 10 to 50 years old, grown in clay, granite and slate soils at altitudes between 180 and 450 metres.
Hand-harvested in early September, this red wine from Montsant was fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. It was not aged in oak to preserve its fruit-driven character.
After finishing the malo, the red wine Peraj Petita Negre 2023 was bottled and aged for some months before hitting the market.
Pair this kosher red wine with rice dishes, tapas and braised vegetables.
