The wine Rodrigo Méndez Cíes Albariño is an engaging example of the linear and mineral-driven style that has given fame to first-rate Galician winemaker Rodrigo Méndez.
This varietal Spanish white wine is sourced from 30 to 70-year-old Albariño vineyards planted in sandy and granitic soils at 70 metres above sea level, on the vicinity of Meaño, a village within DO Rías Baixas.
After a manual harvest, the main batch of this Crianza white wine was fermented in oak barrels; the rest went through the process in stainless steel tanks.
Then the white wine Rodrigo Méndez Cíes Albariño 2025 was aged for 8 months in the said containers.
We suggest aerating this white wine from Rías Baixas before drinking.
