Bertha S.XXI 2019
This is the 2019 vintage of the cava Bertha S.XXI, made in Penedès by Caves Bertha.
Besides Xarel·lo, Macabeo and Parellada, the traditional triad of Cava varieties, this Spanish sparkling wine contains approximately a 15%Chardonnay.
Each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. After completing alcoholic fermentation, the Cava Bertha S.XXI 2019 was bottled and added selected yeasts.
Once secondary fermentation was over, this Cava gran reserva from Penedès was aged for 90+ months before its commercial release.
Complex and balanced, this cava brut nature gran reserva is excellent as an aperitif, without food or with desserts. Besides, it can perfectly match a multi course dinner.

| Nose | Rich, suggestive and inviting, this blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay smells of pastry, dry fruit and candied white fruit, with hints of underbrush and aromatic herbs, and a tip of flowers and cream custard. |
| Palate | Fresh, medium-bodied and caressing, with a delicate texture and a sensous mousse. Despite its respectable age, this cava from Caves Bertha feels young and lively. Balance is excellent, and the nuances we found on the nose are enlivened by some elegant, delicately bitter nuances and a crisp acidity. Very long finish. |
