Details
The wine Casa Castillo La Tendida is a hedonistic Mediterranean red from bodega Casa Castillo, the top producer in DO Jumilla.
This blended Spanish red wine is made from Monastrell with a 15% Grenache, sourced from organically certified vineyards around 15 years of age grown in sandy soils with some limestone and gravel.
The hand-picked grapes were fermented with native yeasts (30% full clusters) in underground vats. This organic red wine from Jumilla went through malolactic fermentation in oak vats.
Then the red wine Casa Castillo La Tendida 2023 was aged for 14 months in 500 and 5,000-litre oak vats.
This Crianza red wine was bottled in March 2024.
