Details
The Freixenet winery produces the Cava Freixenet Trepat Rosat from vineyards located in the old monastic region of Conca de Barberà, southern Catalonia.
Crafted exclusively from Trepat, a delicate red variety indigenous to the region, this rosé sparkling wine is vinified as a Blanc de Noirs. That is, the wine must is allowed a very short contact with the grape skins, so it only gets a subtle touch of aromas and colour.
After a traditional vinification, this rosé Cava was aged for a minimum of 18 months in the cellar.
The Cava Freixenet Trepat Rosat 2021 is one of the Cava bottlings of the Freixenet Cuvées de Prestige series, which features varietal wines made from the best estate vineyards.

Trepat
I became acquainted with Trepat wines during a trip to Barberà, Catalonia, and loved the style. This is medium-bodied, mineral, with red berries and spices. Very good.
