Details
As customary, the new vintage of the wine Les Sorts Jove is produced with the carbonic maceration technique. A process seldom used to produce blends, it allows for a greater aromatic and colouring intensity, as the grapes are not crushed prior to fermentation.
This young Spanish red wine from Montsant is made from a blend of Grenache, Samsó (Carignan) and Syrah, coming from the youngest vines of Celler Masroig.
Carefully harvested, the grapes were put in steel tanks filled with carbon anhydride. Because of the weight, the grapes placed at the bottom began to crush, releasing their must and thus starting the fermentation process of this vegan wine.
After that, the wine Les Sorts Jove 2023 was fermented in stainless steel tanks and bottled after a gentle percolation.
We suggest that you serve this red wine from Montsant slightly cool.
