Details
The wine Rodrigo Méndez Sálvora Albariño is a one-of-a-kind Spanish white wine made by Galician winemaker Rodrigo Méndez, one of Spain's most prestigious producers.
Praised by several senior wine critics as one of the finest varietal Albariño wines of DO Rías Baixas, this Crianza white wine is entirely sourced from "O Torno", a single vineyard with granitic soils planted with vines over 100 years of age near the village of Meaño, Mr. Méndez's birthplace.
The hand-picked grapes were meticulously sorted and gently crushed before being fermented with native yeasts in 600-litre oak vats. Once the process was completed, the white wine Rodrigo Méndez Sálvora Albariño 2023 was subsquently aged for 12 months in the vats.
Bottled in September 2024, this white wine from Rías Baixas was kept for some months in the cellar before hitting the market.
