Produced by the Jané Ventura winery, the wine Jané Ventura Finca Els Camps Macabeu showcases the most attractive side of an oft-maligned white variety.
This varietal Spanish white wine is sourced from three organically certified Macabeo vineyards totalizing 1.2 hectares, planted in 1945, 1958 and 1965 in Finca Els Camps, a estate located at 450 metres of altitude in the Serra del Montmell area, one of the freshest areas in DO Penedès.
Hand-picked and selected on arriving at the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked prior to alcoholic fermentation.
After that, the wine Jané Ventura Finca Els Camps Macabeu 2023 was fermented in used 300 and 500-litre French oak barrels and subsequently aged for a period of 6 months. It was bottled in April 2024.
This is an elegant and versatile white wine from Penedès.
