The renowned Corpinnat producer Cavas Llopart made the sparkling wine Llopart Ex Vite Special Edition 25 Aniversari to commemorate the 25th vintage of Llopart Ex Vite, an iconic Spanish sparkling wine that has played a significant role in changing public perception of Penedès sparklers.
This Corpinnat brut is made from a blend of 60% Xarel·lo, sourced from two vineyards planted in 1934 and 1981, and 40% Macabeo coming from a single parcel planted in 1956. The three plots are located in the Les Flandes lieux-dit, a natural amphiteatre with limestone soils located at 380 metres of altitude, in an area of Penedès where the vineyards share the land with Mediterranean forests and aromatic plants. Viticulture follows the guidelines of organic farming, as per Corpinnat association regulations.
After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, this organic Corpinnat sparkling wine completed secondary fermentation in the bottle and was aged for 100+ months before being manually disgorged.
The production of the sparkling wine Llopart Ex Vite Special Edition 25 Aniversari 2016 is very limited. Only 4,250 numbered bottles.
Packaged in a gift box and embellished with a silver label, this organic sparkling is a collector's item.
