Red Wine Manga del Brujo 2022

Made by Scotsman Norrel Robertson, MW, the wine Manga del Brujo from DO Calatayud is made basically from Grenache, sourced from old vineyards grown at 800 metres of altitude.
This blended Spanish red wine is complemented with 10% Syrah, 10% Provechón (aka Bobal) from 25-year-old vines, and 5% Mazuela, also known as Carignan.
The varieties were manually harvested and meticulously vinified. After that, the red wine Manga del Brujo 2022 from bodega El Escocés Volante was blended and bottled. It was not aged in wood.
Finally, this red wine from Calatayud was kept for some months in the cellar before hitting the market.

| Nose | This blend of Grenache, Syrah, Provechón and Mazuela exhibits intense notes of cherries and blueberries, along with toasted notes and hints of spices, some earthy remembrances and aromas of lavender and thyme. |
| Palate | As with all of Mr. Robertson's wines, this red wine from El Escocés Volante is remarkably well crafted. Ripe and a bit showy, but nonetheless fresh, a crisp acidity, yummy tannins and long finish with herbs de Provence and ripe forest berries. |
